School Internship - Fifth Week

July 8, 2024

Monday 

There was an assembly in this morning. After that, a program was arranged for the students. The program lasted for about 10 O'clock . I had the class in third period.The third period was in 9D class. I was not feeling well but I took the class. The topic I taught the students today was various Nutrients From Glucose. I taught the children by drawing a flowchart on the blackboard. At the end of the class, I gave the activity card and made the children do the activity.

A student in 9D class created a plant cell model. Her name is Sruthi.

Tuesday 

Today the students had an assembly.  After the assembly, the school had arranged an awareness program for the students of classes 9 and 10th standard which lasted until about noon in that class section. I had the class in the seventh period, which means that the class was in the last period, but I came to know that in the afternoon, the program was also conducted  for the students of the eighth standard, so they had the program until the evening. We were in the Discipline Duty in that Assembly Hall  and we watched the program too. Our duty is to avoid noises and make students disciplined. 

I think that was a very good program. It was a free class that did not bore the students in any way, it includes magic, as well as games ,and whatever they found interesting. They introduce thakkudu a doll. I was an interesting character. Sex education as well as child abuse and addictions were included in that session. short videoes also played on the screen. It was a good section and it was a good awareness program for school students.

Wednesday 

Today I went to teach in the 6th period at  9 D class. Today I corrected  the students books and after that I taught about the topic ' Ocean a wonder '.  I used a laptop to teach this lesson. Since it was the afternoon period and their classroom was congested, they were sitting a bit lazy, but when I showed them pictures in the laptop,they get more attention towards the class. At the end of the class I was given activity to the students. 

Thahmina in ninth standard ( 9D) created a chart about the phases of photosynthesis.

Thursday 

Today our Rajashree teacher came to observe my class again. This is my second observation class. The teacher came to observe class 8F. The topic I took up there is about tissues and cell differentiation. There I took a class using charts, using PPT, using blackboards, using activity cards. That's why the class liked the teacher very much. The students listened very quietly. The general teacher also came to observe this class. Rajalakshmi also observed my class. But I couldn't present the activity card with the stuy as the time was running out before that. Time management was not proper.   Immediately after observing my class, the fourth period went up to observe Rajalakshmi's class. I also sat in Rajalakshmi's class and observed. There were only four children in the class. She took the class using chart and black board. Rajalakshmi's class was also good.

Friday 

Today I reached school in the morning. Then  I went to Fousy Teacher's class to help her. After that we brought back to our room. Then, I observed Parvathy's Malayalam class in the third period at 8F. I got Substitution Class 8F in the afternoon. So I taught about stem cells in that period.
