World AIDS Day, designated on 1 December every year since 1988, is an international day dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection and mourning those who have died of the disease. World AIDS Day 2022 is being marked under the theme Equalize.
Today's program was organized by BIOSTAR, the Natural science Association at UGC hall. The UGC hall was decorated with red ribbons, charts, and banners. Small pieces of red ribbons were provided to all as a symbol of AIDS. This program started with the arrival of the chief guest at 9:45 am. The program began with a prayer song sung by Gowry Venu. Pledge was executed by Rakesh. The anchoring was done by Kavya Sagar. Our Rajasree teacher welcomed the Resource person Sri Subathira.
The purpose of this program was to make people aware of AIDS day. There was great enthusiasm among the student-teachers and they were looking highly spirited. It was a unique experience to be there.
The chief guest gave a very motivating speech on this occasion about the role of youth in the eradication of AIDS from this society. The program ended with a vote of thanks from the Student coordinator. She thanked the chief guest in name of the GCTE family and the student teacher for making the program a grand success.
